Head of Marketing Department

Originally from Harrismith in the Freestate, Mariaan left the open fields and mountains and made way to the South Coast and ended up at Aliwal Shoal. Having been in the insurance industry for more than 7 years, she decided that outdoor space is more for her. With growing up on a farm with tractors and trucks and trailers, it would make sense that being in the diving industry, with boats and trucks and trailers, is more her type of life style.

Mariaan has been in the diving industry for over 4 years and is a qualified PADI Advanced diver. During the 4 years she has managed and run a dive shop, assisted in dropping the boats for the launches and attending to the customer’s needs.

She has decided to bring in a bit of change and more challenging opportunities and is now part of the Aliwal Dive Centre Team and running with the Marketing Department. Mariaan is busy completing her International Marketing Diploma, with the aim of making Aliwal Dive Centre one of the best dive centres on the South Coast of Kwazulu Natal.
